The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.
1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba J7+, IRobot's smartest robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its biggest innovation is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It uses AI to identify objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's also the first to automatically send you a photo of an object it encounters so that you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we have ever tested. It removes dirt and spills effortlessly leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app which allows you to schedule cleaning times and set up Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't sweep areas you don't want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it by voice.
Its design is also superior to the rest, with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy robot than a loud, obnoxious one. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System automatically empty and is ideal to speed up cleaning.
In our tests, the j7+ was quick to pick up and remove dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place, instead of scattering it across the floor. It even was able to catch small gravel and sand that other robots couldn't do. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair.
The j7+, while not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba S9and Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and can't clean the stairs, it's an option for those who want both mopping and vacuum. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.
While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that use robotic cleaners. It can take a long time to download updates, and at times it's difficult to know whether the update is functioning until you've seen it in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking for a robot vacuum that does more than simply clean floors, the best option is probably a hybrid. This type of robot typically comes with a built-in tank for water that allows them to vacuum and mop your home at the same time. They also have a number of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance and even the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. The downside is that they tend to be expensive at retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.
Roborock produces several of our top robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. perform to the standards. This is their least expensive auto-empty model, and while it's not equipped with certain features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent option if you're willing compromise a bit in order to save some hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is notably soft around obstacles like wall legs and table legs, which makes it a good option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough when it comes to getting rid of dust bunnies which is a place where cheaper robot vacuums can really fall short. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is fantastic and has very few missing in corners and along walls.
The Q5+, like other Roborock products, can be controlled by a few buttons on the device, or via the Roborock App. The app lets you begin and stop cleanings, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones and adjust your home map, or change the labeling of rooms.
If you decide to go with the Q5+, it ships with a new auto-empty dock that's specifically designed to make the robot easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once in place, emptying the bin is done easily. It also comes with a large LCD display, which is nice to have when you're setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't required for most people but it can help you easily keep the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively clever in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design and functionality are among the most advanced available however, it's also expensive.
Its base station looks good and hides it when not in use, and the dimensions are quite small. But the station's main selling factor is its ability to automate many tasks and functions that other robots leave up to you. It stores clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot charged and clean.
Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's one of the few robot vacuums I've tried that does a really good job of picking up debris on unfinished floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially in the area of navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, which means it can get stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the house. It's also not able to climb stairs as well as other models and doesn't come with a dock to create a clean zone for plush carpets.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent option for those looking for an automated vacuum that can do everything.

If you're looking to save money or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are other options available. Many eufy models cost substantially less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for instance is a bit more expensive however it comes with many more features, like the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, that provides a better overall vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished carpets, low-pile carpets as well as high-pile ones.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
eufy is an Anker company that has a history of producing robot vacuums that offer the perfect combination of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for hard and carpet flooring, and a mopping function for a low cost. It's simple to set up, simply attach one of the side brushes and turn it on, then connect the charging dock. robot vacuum cleaner best buy takes you through a few steps to connect to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. The dock should be placed near an outlet with enough space to move.
The G30 is a compact device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, which means it can be placed under most couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design is more subtle when compared to rival models. It has a sleek black finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral pattern over two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to do unscheduled cleaning with voice commands.
The way the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from its competitors. It makes use of an integrated map to draw a picture of the immovable objects in its path. It remembers the items it has cleaned and what it is unable to access. It will return to the base to recharge and continues cleaning the area it left.
The elegant G30 isn't without faults, though. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower monthly costs. It charges faster, has similar battery life and performs better on unfinished flooring or carpet with a low pile. It has a larger dust bin, which does not require the same amount of emptying. It also comes with border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust canister doesn't require as frequent emptying and it has less trouble with heavy materials like cereal.
